Aurora
At ClaireaBella, we believe every person deserves to see themselves represented, celebrated, and empowered. Recently, we had the privilege of creating a truly special design for one of our customers, 8year-old Aurora, whose story inspires us all.
Aurora was born with a limb difference due to a condition known as Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS). When her mum, Charmaine, first received the news during her 20-week scan, she was filled with uncertainty and fear of the unknown. But as Aurora grew, it quickly became clear that she is nothing short of remarkable.
Now 8 years old, Aurora is strong, determined, and unstoppable. From riding her scooter and bike, to tying her shoelaces, to doing cartwheels and handstands – Aurora embraces life with resilience and joy. As Charmaine says, “She knows she’s different, but she embraces that difference.”
At ClaireaBella, we know that individuality is what makes each person truly beautiful. So, when Charmaine reached out to us about creating a book bag character that reflected Aurora’s limb difference, our team was honoured to help. We worked closely to ensure her personalised character looked just like her – celebrating her “little arm” and capturing her spirit perfectly.
Seeing the finished book bag made Aurora’s face light up – a moment her mum described as filling her heart with joy.
Aurora’s story reminds us that difference is something to embrace and celebrate. At ClaireaBella, every character we create isn’t just a design – it’s a reflection of the amazing individual behind it.
